SHALIBOND BS/CS

​ShaliBond BS/CS is a cold-applied bituminous adhesive formulated for fixing waterproofing membranes, such as roofing felts, onto various surfaces. It is manufactured from special grades of bitumen blended with other additives, resulting in a semi-liquid consistency that is ready to use. ​

Key Features:

• Cold Application: Eliminates the need for heating, simplifying the application process and enhancing safety.​

• Versatile Adhesion: Suitable for bonding roofing felts to metal, timber, tiles, asbestos, concrete, and masonry surfaces, including specialized applications on vehicles like trains and buses.

• Quick Drying: Dries to a film thickness of approximately 150 microns within 24 hours, facilitating timely project progression.​

• Economic Coverage: Provides a theoretical coverage of 0.50 kg/m² on metal surfaces and 0.70 kg/m² on concrete surfaces, depending on surface conditions.​

Application Guidelines:

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from foreign materials.

2. Adhesive Application: Use a spatula or brush to apply ShaliBond BS/CS evenly over the prepared surface.​

3. Membrane Installation: After approximately 10 minutes, lay the roofing felt onto the adhesive layer, applying uniform mild pressure to ensure proper bonding.​

Safety Precautions:

• Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

• ShaliBond BS/CS is flammable; keep away from open flames and heat sources.

• Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including goggles and gloves, during application.
