- Latex Shield 2k Is A Two Component Polymer Modified Cementitious Waterproof Slurry Mortar Consisting Of A Liquid Polymer And A Cement Based Mix Incorporating Graded Aggregates And Additives. It Is Applied To Concrete And Mortar. On Curing, It Forms An Excellent Waterproof And Protective Elastomeric Layer Over The Surface And Thus Prevent Water Infiltration.

Usage Area:
- Latex Shield 2k Is Used For Interior And Exterior Waterproofing And Damp-proofing Of Old Or New Concrete, Cementitious Rendering, Brickwork And Blockwork. Exterior Waterproofing Of Basement Retaining Walls In New Construction And Refurbishment. Sealing Internal Basement Walls Against Dampness. Water Tanks And Swimming Pools. Concrete Floor And Roof Slabs, Floors, Balcony, Bathroom Floors. Bridge Decks, Canals, Sewage Treatment Areas Etc. Waterproof Bottom Coating For Tiles, Granite, Marble And Other Natural Stones.
Directions For Use:
- Surface Preparation: The Surface To Be Applied Should Be Clean And Sound, Free From Any Kind Of Contamination And Dirt. Thoroughly Wire Brush The Surface And Clean The Dust By Air Compressor Or By Water Jetting. Oil And Grease Must Be Removed Using Degreasing Solvents. Any Damaged Surface Must Be Repaired By Using Crack Fillers Or Polymer Modified Repair Mortar. Finally The Substrate Must Be Properly Pre-wetted To A Saturated Surface-dry Condition.
- Mixing: Shake The Liquid Component Well To A Homogeneous Milky Colour. Transfer The Entire Quantity Of Liquid Component Before Mixing Into A Suitable Clean Mixing Container. Gradually Start The Addition Of Powder Component While Constantly Mixing With A Stirrer Using A Pneumatic Or Electric Power Tool (Kw) At Slow Speed At 250-300 Rpm For 3-5 Minutes To A Homogeneous And Uniform Free Flowing Slurry.
Application:
- On Concrete Slabs And Roof Slabs Apply Two Coats Of Mixed Slurry To The Set Concrete B 1.5 -2.1 Kg/m2 By A Masonry Brush, Roller Or Appropriate Power Spray Equipment.
- As A Slurry Coat Apply Slurry Coat Of Mixed Material For Two Coats At A Coverage Rate Of 1.5 Kg/m2 Over The Set Concrete Slab By A Masonry Brush Or Appropriate Power Spray Equipment.
- Water Tanks And Swimming Pools Two Coats Of Latex Shield 2k Applied H 1.5 – 1.7 Kg/m2 Per Coat By A Masonry Brush Or An Appropriate Power Spray Equipment.
- Pile Heads Two Coats Of Mixed Slurry To Be Applied On To The Pile Head H 0.75 – 0.9 Kg/m2 First Coat And
- 1.2 – 1.5 Kg/m2 Second Coat Either By A Masonry Brush Or By Appropriate Power Spray Equipment.
- Marbles/stones It Is Recommended To Apply One Coat To The Bottom Of The Marble B 1.5 Mm Thick At A Coverage Of Approximately 1.75 – 2 Kg/m2. All Applications Where Two Coats Are Specified, The Second Coat Should Be Applied When The First Coat Is Completely Dried.
