Shalikote T32

​ShaliKote® T-32 is a bituminous, cold-applied, clay-type emulsion incorporating selected grades of bitumen, water, and inert fillers, including specialized fibers. This composition results in a surface highly resistant to significant shock and vibrations.​

• Color: Brown to chocolate.​

• Consistency: Brushable and trowelable.​

• Specific Gravity: 1.10.​

• Drying Time: Approximately 24 hours.​

• Theoretical Coverage per Coat:

  • On Metal Surfaces: 0.8 kg/m², achieving a dry film thickness of 200 microns.​

  • On Concrete Surfaces: 0.6 kg/m², achieving a dry film thickness of 150 microns.​

Applications:

ShaliKote® T-32 is ideal for waterproofing applications on roofs, verandahs, chajjas, and similar surfaces, even under wet conditions. It forms a water-impermeable coating that withstands temperature fluctuations, industrial fumes, and saline atmospheres.​

Application Methodology:

1. Surface Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly to remove dirt and loose particles. Repair visible cracks and fill depressions with a 1:4 cement or sand mixture.​

2. Priming: Dilute ShaliKote® T-32 with water in a 1:1 ratio to achieve a light consistency. Apply this diluted mixture as a primer to the prepared surface.

3. Main Application: Once the primed surface dries and turns black, apply the undiluted ShaliKote® T-32. The emulsion will turn black as it sets.
